NATURE NEEDS US AND WE NEED IT.
We challenge you to increase your connection with the wild.
We are currently experiencing a growing disconnect from the living world. Population growth and the use of digital technology are modern-day realities, and our challenge is to find the right balance so that we can all experience the wonders of nature. Unfortunately, children and adults alike are spending less time outdoors in green spaces and don’t get to fully experience the incredible value that our natural world has to offer. Because of our disconnect, it is not only nature that suffers, but ourselves.
Remember The Wild aims to inspire a reconnection to our environment. We want people to remember the wild and bring it back into their lives.
Over the next 30 days, we are going to be filling your social media feeds with challenges to get us all closer to nature and Australia’s great outdoors. Each day at 5:30pm AEDT, we will share the challenge for the next day, to give you time to plan your challenge. Take a photo of each challenge and upload it to Instagram or Twitter with the #RememberTheWild hashtag.
There will be prizes, including one for the most committed (most challenges completed with photographic evidence on Twitter or Instagram), one for the follower who recruits the most friends to the challenges, and a special judges prize.
So get involved over the next 30 days (10th October to 8th November) and show us how you Remember The Wild.
Follow Remember The Wild on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up-to-date with our 30 day challenge or see below for what each challenge has been so far – if you’ve only just started or have missed a day, you can still share your challenges with us anytime!
