We are the land

We are the land

While filming in north-west Western Australia on another project, our crew were fortunate enough to meet some members of the Kara Jarri and Nyangumarta Warrarn rangers. These passionate custodians of the land, who welcomed us to their shared country at Eighty Mile Beach, were kind enough to share their stories with us.

During the busy days of bird catching and tagging on the beach, we opportunistically caught glimpses of their sincere dedication to caring for country, and in the few moments of downtime we asked them what it meant for them to be here, on country, protecting the land. Here, we present their thoughtful responses to our questions and hope that in sharing their stories we might inspire others to consider their role in preserving the world around them.
